• If you are new to the Developmental Disabilities Training Institute registration website, you will need to create a login upon registering for this event.  The 'Login ID' and password each must be at least 6 characters.  (If you have registered with Behavioral Healthcare Institute and created a profile, please use your existing login.)  If you do not have an individual email address, you can obtain one at no cost by clicking here: Get a Free Yahoo email account here.

• Do not create more than one login.  Your login tracks your training history with the Developmental Disabilities Training Institute.  This also tracks your training history for the Behavioral Healthcare Institute.
• Registration will close 5 business days prior to the event.
• Walk-ins will not be accepted.

New Payment Procedure

• We are now accepting electronic payment for training events through Master Card and Visa. You may also pay for your training with a personal or agency check or money order.
• Credit card payments are processed the same day. Other payments must be received in the DDTI office at least 5 business days prior to the training date to secure your registration.
• If your payment is not received by the cut off date, your registration will be cancelled. Payments received after 5 business days prior to the training event will be returned.
• Upon receipt of your payment you will be sent an email statement that you will print and use as your entry pass to the training.
• Payments will not be accepted at the door. Walk-ins will not be accepted.  

Substitutes, Contact Hours, and Cancellations/Refunds

• Substitutes: If you have registered but are unable to attend, you may send another person in your place.  Substitutes must be prepared to attend the training in its entirety and will need to complete a substitution form at the event.  Substitutes will need to provide email and telephone contact for the person they are replacing
   
• Contact Hours:  In order to acquire a Certificate of Completion (contact hours are specific to the event) all attendees will need to:
  
  • attend the entire event
  • complete:
  • all training materials
  • evaluations
  • registration/sign-in sheets
  
  Certificates will be emailed to the email address provided on the registration form.
   
  No partial credit hours will be awarded.  In the event that you do not complete the entire training you will not receive a certificate.
   
• Cancellations: If you cannot attend this training please cancel your registration. If you cancel your training prior to the 5 business days outlined in our policy, you will receive a credit on your account to be used for an upcoming training. You will need to contact our office directly to apply this credit to your selected training. Credits on your account will only apply for 90 days. Credits will be invalid after 90 days.
  
• Refunds: Refunds will only be issued if the training is cancelled by the Developmental Disabilities Training Institute.
  
• Returned Check Fee: North Carolina General Statute 25-3-506 provides that a processing fee, not to exceed $25.00, may be charged and collected for check on which payment has been refused by the payer bank because of insufficient funds or because the drawer did not have an account at the bank at the time the consumer presented the check to the University.  Therefore, DDTI, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will assess a $25.00 fee for any check whose payment is refused by the bank.  The University does not accept post dated checks.
